Job summary

Novus in Kirkham, Lancashire, is seeking a Learning Support Worker to help prisoners in their learning journey. The role is permanent, part-time (18.5 hours per week) at HMP Kirkham, a category D male prison.

You will support individuals and groups, assist with assessments, and contribute to an inclusive and rehabilitative learning environment. The LTE Group-backed role requires collaboration in a multi-disciplinary team, accurate reporting, and commitment to safeguarding.

We have a great opportunity available to join Novus, our prison education provider at HMP Kirkham, working as a Learning Support Worker. This role is offered on a permanent, part-time basis, working 18.5 hours per week.

Site Information

HMP Kirkham is based in the village of Kirkham, Lancashire. It operates as a Cateogry D prison and supports a male population. the teams' aim is to create an environment in which staff and prisoners feel safe, and where causes of prison stress are minimised. The prison's mission is to provide a secure, safe, and rehabilitative environment that encourages positive change and prepares inmates for a successful reintegration into society.
