Job summary

LTE Group’s Novus are seeking a Learning and Skills Worker to support prisoners at HMP Moorland, near Doncaster. This permanent, full-time role offers 37 hours per week with a focus on helping learners achieve their potential and succeed in their learning journey.

You will conduct assessments, support individuals and groups, and work within a multi-disciplinary team to deliver inclusive education. A DBS check will be required as part of safeguarding.

Qualifications

  • Experience of conducting assessments and supporting learning for individuals and groups.

Responsibilities

  • Provide learning support and assessment to learners at HMP Moorland, including individuals and groups.
  • Deliver one-to-one and group learning sessions.
  • Collaborate with education and rehabilitation teams to plan and deliver programmes.
  • Monitor learner progress and maintain accurate records and reports.
  • Support learners to achieve their targets and improve outcomes.
  • Participate in safeguarding procedures and promote wellbeing within the education environment.

We have a great opportunity available to join Novus, our prison education provider at HMP Moorland, working as a Learning and Skills Worker. This role is offered on a permanent full-time basis working 37 hours per week.

Site Information

HMP Moorland is located near Hatfield Woodhouse in Doncaster, South Yorkshire. It is a Category C prison that houses adult male offenders. It offers various rehabilitation and Education programs. The prison aims to create an environment in which staff and prisoners feel safe at all times. The prison’s mission is to provide a secure, safe, and rehabilitative environment that encourages positive change and prepares inmates for a successful reintegration into society.

Skills, Qualifications and Experience

To be successful in this role, you will need to:
