Job summary

Novus, the LTE Group's prison education provider, is hiring a Curriculum Manager to lead curriculum development at HMP Holme House. The role is permanent, full-time, 37 hours per week, with a focus on shaping engaging, forward-thinking programs that improve learner outcomes.

You'll oversee areas including Functional Skills, Digital Skills, Screening and Assessment and Vocational streams, working in a secure environment and leading a dedicated team to deliver high-quality education for detainees

Qualifications

• To be successful in this role, you will need to:
• Hold a teaching qualification - minimum Cert Ed or PGCE
• Hold a degree or equivalent (including equivalent life / career experience)
• Hold at least a Level 2 qualification in Literacy and Numeracy
• Hold a TAQA Internal Verifier Award / V1 or equivalent (desirable)
• Hold a Level 4 or equivalent subject specialism or vocational qualification (desirable)
• To be able to implement continuous quality assurance procedures
• Demonstrate a successful partnership working
• Have the ability to develop, lead and manage a team effectively (desirable)
• Have the ability to manage colleagues including the deployment of those staff and appropriate delegation of tasks (desirable)
• Must be able to work within a secure environment (desirable)
• Must be able to work with learners with challenging behaviour (desirable)
• Demonstrate effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Have the ability to motivate and enthuse teams
• Have excellent organisational skills to prioritise workload to meet challenging deadlines and targets
• Must be able to analyse trends and identifying impact on curriculum
• Have excellent IT Skills
• Demonstrate Effective partnership working (desirable)

We have a great opportunity available to join Novus, our prison education provider at HMP Holme House, working as a Curriculum Manager. This role is offered on a permanent, full-time basis, working 37 hours per week.

This role is to manage a variety of curriculum areas including but not limited to, Functional Skills, Digital Skills, Screening and assessment and Vocational.

Site Information

HMP Holme House is a Category C men’s prison located in Stockton-on-Tees. The team's aim is to create an environment in which staff and prisoners feel safe, and where causes of prison stress are minimised. The prison’s mission is to provide a secure, safe, and rehabilitative environment that encourages positive change and prepares inmates for a successful reintegration into society.
