As we are a small team this is a hands-on and strategic role, requiring strong project delivery skills, stakeholder management, and the ability to influence at all levels.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage L&D budgets effectively, ensuring strong ROI and measurable outcomes
Performance & Capability Development
  • Redesign and embed an effective, inclusive performance review framework for both staff and industrial populations
  • Develop clear role profiles and capability expectations in partnership with HR and business leaders
  • Establish robust methods to measure performance, progression and impact
Technical Training & Skills Framework
  • Work with operational teams to define technical competency requirements across all roles
  • Build structured training pathways to develop critical skills within the organisation
  • Implement a competency framework aligned to industry and professional standards
  • Develop and embed a practical succession planning process to support business continuity and growth
  • Support managers and employees in career development conversations and progression planning
  • Oversee the organisation’s Learning Management System (LMS), ensuring content is relevant, accessible and impactful
  • Continuously improve e-learning provision, tailoring content by role and organisational needs
Employee Engagement
  • Lead and support employee engagement initiatives, helping to build a positive, inclusive and high-performing culture
Early Careers
  • Partner with the Apprenticeship Co-ordinator to enhance and grow apprenticeship programmes
  • Explore and establish a targeted Graduate entry programme
  • Work towards professional accreditation of learning pathways and early careers programmes

You will bring:

  • Strong knowledge of modern learning methods, digital tools and blended learning approaches
