Job summary

Acorn Training Ltd in Lincolnshire is seeking an engaged Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG) coordinator to champion adult learning. You will build partnerships with community organisations, promote programmes to learners and employers, and manage learner referrals.

You will ensure compliant recruitment, enrolment and documentation, meet monthly targets for starts and progression, and collaborate with marketing to raise awareness of available courses.

Qualifications

• Level 2 IAG or equivalent qualification.
• GCSE grade A*-C in English, Maths and ICT.
• Full driving licence.
• Excellent IT skills, including MS Office.
• Strong communication and active listening.
• Organisation and time management.
• Flexible and adaptable, able to engage diverse learners.
• Track record of learner and stakeholder engagement.
• Evidence of meeting and exceeding targets.
• Experience of providing excellent customer service.
• Knowledge of safeguarding and Equal Opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Develop relationships with external stakeholders and networks to foster partnerships that support adult learning programmes.
• Promote suitable Adult Learning programmes and SWAPs to learners and referral sources.
• Conduct information, advice, and guidance sessions for potential learners.
• Engage with potential learners, employers, and community groups with accurate programme information.
• Maintain detailed learner referral information and liaise with tutors and leadership.
• Respond promptly to referral inquiries and provide support per learner needs.
• Assess individual learner needs and provide tailored guidance and support.
• Attend education and careers events to promote adult learning.
• Ensure timely completion of recruitment/enrolment documentation and compliance.
• Meet monthly targets for programme starts, placements, and progression.
• Develop learner engagement strategies to boost participation and attendance.
• Collect feedback for programme improvements.
