E3 Recruitment is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for a century-old engineering group at a state-of-the-art Leeds facility. You will lead continuous improvement across manufacturing and assembly to improve quality, efficiency and throughput.

You will develop SOPs, perform time studies, and implement Lean, VSM and process mapping while ensuring ISO 9001/45001 compliance. Close collaboration with Quality, Engineering and Production is essential.

Qualificações

• Proven manufacturing engineering experience in heavy engineering or electrical manufacturing.
• Experience implementing Lean, CI, VSM and workflow optimisation.
• Degree in Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering with NPI/DFM exposure.

Responsabilidades

• Lead continuous improvement and optimisation of manufacturing and assembly processes to improve quality, efficiency and throughput.
• Develop, implement and maintain SOPs, work instructions and process documentation to ensure operational consistency, compliance and best practice.
• Conduct time studies, workflow analysis and capacity planning to identify bottlenecks, reduce waste and maximise productivity.
• Drive Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement initiatives using structured problem-solving and root cause analysis.
• Monitor and report on KPIs including TPM, cycle times, Right First Time and operational performance metrics.
• Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, Production and Maintenance to ensure ISO compliance and support manufacturable product design.
• Provide technical leadership, operator training and regular performance reporting to management for continuous production flow.
