Job summary

Government Recruitment Service in Leeds is recruiting a Workplace Design Standards Manager to lead the design strategy for DWP estates. The role sits within the Design Standards team and focuses on ensuring high-quality, sustainable workplace environments across projects.

You will advise external designers and supply chain partners, review plans for compliance with standards, and help drive smart working and inclusive workspaces across government estates.

Responsibilities

• Support the Workplace Design Standards Lead in the preparation and implementation of Design Guides and ensuring the products complement and support the Government's wider design strategy.
• Inspire innovation in design, introducing sustainable alternatives to improve the workplace environment and contributing toward Net Zero Carbon 2050 targets.
• Ensure the integrity of DWP Estate portfolio, confirming new/ upgraded properties are fit for purpose and compliant with required standards.
• Provide timely direction and technical advice to external designers and supply chain consultants to meet quality standards and operational requirements.
