Job summary

BSS Industrial in Glasgow is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to lead a busy warehouse team and support the day-to-day delivery operation. You will supervise order control and coordinate goods moving through the branch to ensure orders are picked, checked, loaded and dispatched accurately and on time.

This hands-on role requires strong organisational and communication skills, a solid understanding of health and safety, and the ability to adapt as priorities shift.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a warehouse, distribution, logistics or transport environment.
• Experience supervising or leading a warehouse team.
• Experience with order control, order processing or warehouse coordination.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong working relationships with warehouse colleagues, drivers, sales teams and customers.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the confidence to make practical decisions when issues arise.
• Good understanding of warehouse processes, goods-in and stock control.
• Strong health and safety knowledge and a commitment to high standards.

Responsibilities

• Support the Warehouse Manager with the day-to-day running of the warehouse and provide direction to the team.
• Allocate and prioritise workloads to ensure customer orders are picked, checked and prepared for dispatch on time.
• Manage day-to-day order control, monitor outstanding orders and resolve issues quickly.
• Collaborate with the Sales Team to clarify order requirements and meet customer expectations.
• Coordinate with drivers to ensure vehicles are loaded correctly and dispatched on schedule.
• Oversee receipt, checking and storage of incoming goods and support stock control.
