Job summary

BSS Industrial is seeking a Warehouse Manager for our Glasgow branch to lead a busy warehouse, transport and delivery operation. You’ll ensure safe, efficient and accurate order processing while supporting a hands-on team.

Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, you’ll manage workloads, stock control, compliance and health and safety, driving continuous improvement and customer service in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Previous management or supervisory experience within a warehouse, distribution, logistics or transport environment.
• Experience managing a warehouse team and day-to-day operation of a warehouse.
• Strong experience of warehouse operations, order control and logistics planning.

Responsibilities

• Take overall responsibility for the day-to-day running of the warehouse and delivery operation, ensuring it operates safely, efficiently and in line with company standards.
• Lead, manage and develop the warehouse team, providing clear direction, support and accountability.
• Work closely with the Warehouse Supervisor to coordinate workloads, order control and logistics planning across the warehouse and delivery operation.
• Ensure customer orders are picked, checked, prepared and dispatched accurately and on time.
• Oversee order control, ensuring outstanding, priority and problem orders are identified, monitored and resolved promptly.
• Coordinate with drivers and the delivery team to ensure vehicles are loaded correctly, paperwork is accurate and deliveries are dispatched safely and on schedule.
