Job summary

Grant Thornton UK is seeking an Associate Director in Value Creation Advisory (VCA) to lead day-to-day client work, oversee due diligence and post-deal value creation initiatives. You’ll drive analyses, shape operating models, and partner with Directors to win and deliver engagements.

You’ll work with multidisciplinary teams across UK and international clients, balancing strategic insight with pragmatic execution. Strong English communication and leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• Significant experience across carve-outs, due diligence, integrations and value creation in advisory/professional services.
• Experience leading small teams in fast-paced environments.
• Excellent written and verbal English and ability to tailor style for stakeholders.
• Strong project management and/or change/transformation skills.
• Excellent Microsoft Office skills, especially PowerPoint and Excel.
• Willingness to travel in the UK and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day client work for a range of project sizes, including meetings and deliverables, and manage commercial/risk aspects.
• Interpret and analyse large volumes of complex information and articulate key issues.
• Contribute to a positive team environment and demonstrate leadership across assignments.
• Prepare sales proposals and support wider sales efforts with Directors and Partners.
• Support more junior colleagues and potentially manage people within the team.
• Assist the Directors and Partners with the day-to-day running of the VCA practice.
