Job summary

Grant Thornton UK is seeking an Associate Director in Value Creation Advisory to lead day-to-day client work on carve-out and value creation projects, including due diligence, integration, and operating model design.

You will steer small teams on smaller projects and collaborate across UK and international teams, with a strong focus on delivering practical guidance, high‑quality reports, and client proposals.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in carve-outs, due diligence, and value creation.
• Experience leading small teams in fast-paced environments.
• Proven ability to prepare and review high-quality reports and analyses.
• Excellent English written and verbal communication.
• Strong project/transformational/change management skills.
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.
• Willingness to travel in the UK and internationally.
• Experience using AI tools in delivery of work.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day client work for a range of project sizes, including client meetings and deliverables.
• Interpret and analyse large volumes of complex information to identify key issues.
• Contribute to a positive team environment and mentor junior colleagues.
• Prepare sales proposals and support wider sales efforts with Directors and Partners.
• Assist the Directors/Partners with day-to-day running of the VCA practice and internal initiatives.
