Job summary

WSP Leeds seeks a Senior/Principal Utilities Infrastructure Engineer to lead multi-utility projects from planning through to implementation. Based in Leeds, you will work in multidisciplinary teams and manage client relationships to deliver schemes on time and budget.

You will mentor colleagues, pursue EngTech/IEng/CEng with ICE, and benefit from training and a supportive, flexible working culture as part of a global engineering leader.

Qualifications

• Chartered Engineer or open/working towards Chartered Engineer status.
• Civil Engineering Degree, or equivalent qualification.
• Experience delivering utility connections, diversions and utility infrastructure strategies for UK schemes.
• Understanding of Electricity, Gas, Water, and Telecommunications networks owners.
• Experience of Multi-utility / iDNO / ICP offerings would be beneficial.
• Ability to develop utility demand calculations based on a Development.
• Project experience of large multi-disciplinary infrastructure schemes.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.

Responsibilities

• Working out of the WSP Leeds office in a central location.
• Maintain and develop client relationships within multidisciplinary teams.
• Deliver schemes on budget and to high quality standards.
• Provide an experienced senior point of contact for clients on key projects.
• Mentor team members and contribute to a culture of learning.
• Ensure high-quality reports and professional outputs for clients.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships across projects.
