Job summary

WSP is recruiting a Senior or Principal Utilities Infrastructure Engineer to lead multi-utility projects across the UK. You will advise clients on feasibility, constraints, and implement new services and diversions while guiding internal teams and ensuring timely, budget-conscious delivery.

You will collaborate with diverse clients, understand regulatory requirements, and progress toward EngTech/IEng/CEng status. Hybrid working and development opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• Chartered Engineer status or working towards Chartered Engineer.
• Civil Engineering degree or equivalent qualification.
• Experience delivering utility connections, diversions and utility infrastructure strategies in the UK.
• Understanding of Electricity, Gas, Water, and Telecommunications networks owners.
• Experience with Multi-utility / iDNO / ICP offerings is beneficial.
• Ability to develop utility demand calculations for a development.
• Project experience on large multi-disciplinary infrastructure schemes.
• Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and organise time.
• Knowledge of BIM standards and protocols.
• Excellent communication skills for engaging with co-professionals and delivering reports.
• AutoCAD / Civils 3D or similar software with 2D drawing and 3D modelling.
• Strong client relationship development and networking skills.
• UK Security Check (SC) eligibility.
