Job summary

Saab UK, Fareham, is seeking an Integration Team Lead to oversee the assembly and integration of remotely operated vehicles and their supporting equipment. You will lead the team through testing and commissioning in line with configuration documents and delivery schedules.

The role demands a strong leadership background, excellent communication, and a technical foundation in electronics, with experience in fibre optic termination and testing. Offshore commissioning may be required.

Qualifications

• Previous team leadership experience is essential.
• Strong communication skills are required.
• A minimum HNC/HND qualification preferably in Electronics.
• Good knowledge in the use of fibre optic termination, equipment and testing.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Integration Team in assembly, testing and commissioning of underwater robotics.
• Ensure the team are trained to integrate assemblies and sub-assemblies to produce complete systems per customer specs.
• Provide offsite/offshore commissioning and customer support as required.
• Lead fault finding and reporting of issues in the proper format.
• Support continual improvement through change requests and process enhancements.
• Interpret designs, electrical drawings, and testing procedures to assemble and test prototypes.
• Maintain 6S and health and safety compliance.
• Collaborate with other departments to meet delivery objectives.
