Job summary

WSP is seeking a Principal or Associate Tunnelling Engineer to join its Geotechnical and Tunnelling team. You will lead and deliver tunnelling projects, coordinating multi-disciplinary design and ensuring high technical quality across feasibility to construction stages.

You will contribute to business development, client engagement, and resource management while mentoring junior staff within a global engineering environment. This role offers hybrid working arrangements in the UK.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering tunnelling projects from inception to construction.
• Demonstrated understanding of civil/structural and geotechnical principles for tunnelling schemes.
• Consultancy background with strong client relationships and commercial awareness.
• Chartered Engineer or equivalent registration.

Responsibilities

• Producing, checking and approving tunnels and shafts engineering deliverables.
• Collaborating within tunnelling and geotechnical teams on projects from feasibility to construction.
• Managing project resources and cost control.
• Mentoring staff and supporting business development activities.
