Job summary

WSP in Liverpool is seeking a Principal Transport Planner to lead a range of transport projects across modes, developing strategies, policies and business cases from inception through delivery. The role is based in our central Liverpool office with hybrid working available.

You will steer multi-disciplinary teams, manage client relationships with Local Authorities and national bodies, oversee project financials, and support the development of junior staff as a mentor or people manager.

Qualifications

• Experience in active travel, public transport and transport programme development.
• Ability to develop transport strategies, plans and policies.
• Experience working with Local Authority and Combined Authority clients.
• The ability to manage and prioritise multiple projects and tasks to meet deadlines.
• Ability to present to diverse audiences and stakeholders.
• Commercial acumen with team management responsibilities.
