Job summary
WSP in the UK & Ireland is seeking a Principal Development Planner with a strong development-related transport planning background in Liverpool. You will lead technical input on development projects across commercial, retail and residential sectors, contribute to masterplans, and support Expert Witness evidence.
You will mentor Early Career Professionals and help grow the business through strong client relationships.
Qualifications
- Experience leading transport planning on TA, Travel Plans, parking strategies and sustainable transport.
- Ability to prepare traffic flow information for Transport Assessments/Environmental Statements.
- Experience in setup and running transport junction capacity models.
- Capability to manage budgets, resources and invoicing for projects.
- Mentor Early Career Professionals and support business development.
Responsibilities
- Lead technical transport planning input on development projects.
- Provide project management and leadership on small to medium projects.
- Mentor junior staff and grow professional networks.
- Contribute to transport and parking strategies for private/public sector clients.
- Support bid writing and client discussions on technical aspects.
