WSP in the UK & Ireland is seeking a Transport Planning professional to lead and shape major projects across local authorities and private clients. You will oversee technical work, manage multidisciplinary teams and help secure new opportunities through strong client engagement.

Qualifications

• Experience in active travel and public transport project development.
• Experience in developing transport-focused strategies, plans and policies.
• Experience with local authority or combined authority clients.
• Ability to manage multiple projects to meet deadlines.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead on a variety of Transport Planning projects and proposals (technical and commercial inputs).
• Lead and manage tasks as part of a multi‑disciplinary team with our specialists.
• Support in securing and delivering work for our local client portfolio.
• Undertake transport statements, transport assessments and travel plans.
• Lead technical discussions around site accessibility for various modes.
• Oversee technical reviews and check deliverables within the team.
• Collaborate with clients and consultants, representing WSP values.
