Job summary

DHL in Tamworth is seeking a Senior Transport Shift Manager to lead a large driver and first-line-manager team, delivering safe, efficient transport operations and service excellence.

You will manage KPIs, provide coaching, conduct performance reviews, and report to customers with clear performance updates, while maintaining strong stakeholder relationships. This role requires on-call weekend involvement and an International Transport Manager CPC qualification or willingness to obtain it.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Lead a team including First Line Managers and 134 drivers to ensure efficient transport operations
• Monitor and report on key KPIs, identify root causes and implement corrective actions
• Conduct performance reviews and coaching, including development and succession planning
• Prepare customer-facing reports and performance reviews, including CO2 commitments
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver operational excellence
• Act as escalation point for queries, HR processes, and disciplinary matters
• Coordinate administrative, returns, POD processes and recruitment activities
• Be on-call on alternate weekends to support the customer site
