Carrington West is seeking a Senior Track Design Engineer to lead Permanent Way designs from feasibility to detailed design in London or Derby. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality rail solutions that meet standards and deadlines.

Responsibilities include technical reviews, design quality and mentoring team members, combining hands-on design with leadership and team development for Rail Track projects.

Qualificações

• HNC with substantial relevant engineering experience, or a degree in Civil Engineering, supported by substantial experience.
• Proven experience delivering accurate Permanent Way designs, including plain line track and S&C.
• Strong knowledge of trackform, track components and railway engineering principles.
• Understanding of Network Rail Group and Line Standards and/or London Underground standards.
• Experience using MicroStation and Bentley Rail Track and/or OpenRail.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and deliver Permanent Way designs from feasibility through to detailed design.
• Produce detailed designs for plain line track, switches and crossings (S&C) renewals, track lowering, platform extensions and linespeed improvements.
• Prepare technical documentation, including calculations, reports and specifications, in accordance with relevant standards and procedures.
• Produce designer's risk assessments, eliminating or reducing hazards through the design process.
• Mentor and develop engineers while supporting the continued growth of the Track Solutions team.
