Job summary

LRL are recruiting for TEAM LEADERS/DEPUTY MANAGERS across YORKSHIRE to support a leading Healthcare Company on a permanent basis. The role combines shift leadership with direct care for individuals with complex behavioural needs in 3:1, 4:1 and 5:1 staffing arrangements.

The Team Leader ensures safe care plans, risk assessments, DoLS compliance and staff training, with duties including incident management, supervision and quality assurance across the team.

Qualifications

• Experience in complex care and high-risk behavioural services.
• Proven ability to lead shifts and supervise teams.
• Strong skills in behaviour management and de-escalation.
• Knowledge of DoLS, safeguarding and least restrictive practice.
• Experience managing incidents and implementing PBS strategies.

Responsibilities

• Lead the staff team during shifts and allocate deployment within enhanced staffing.
• Maintain risk oversight and ensure staffing matches individual needs.
• Ensure staff understand triggers and escalation protocols.
• Lead responses during significant behavioural incidents.
• Coordinate with the team to minimise restrictive interventions.
• Ensure trained staff participate in physical interventions when required.
• Coordinate responses to aggression, absconding and self-injury.
• Escalate incidents and conduct post-incident reviews.
• Monitor staff practice and address unsafe care.
• Support staff supervision, competency and performance reviews.
• Identify training needs and support PBS implementation.
• Liaise with management and external professionals to safeguard individuals.
