Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Principal Structural Engineer in Manchester to lead the delivery of structural engineering design for concrete, steel and masonry structures. The role provides technical direction, quality assurance and day-to-day leadership to engineers and technicians within the local team, with hybrid working between office and home.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading structural engineering teams.
• Strong technical direction and quality assurance across concrete, steel and masonry projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of structural engineering design across water and buildings sectors.
• Provide technical direction to engineers and technicians in the Manchester team.
• Mentor staff, plan workload and conduct technical reviews to build capability.
• Support recruitment and development of the Manchester structural engineering capability.
• Review structural inspections and ensure asset maintenance recommendations meet client and regulatory requirements.
