Job summary

The Lounges is hiring a full-time Sous Chef for the Velo Lounge kitchen, part of a growing hospitality brand across England and Wales. You will lead shifts, uphold top quality on the pass, and support the Head Chef to deliver consistently strong results.

This role offers progression opportunities and a competitive package with bonus and overtime. You should bring proven Sous/Junior Sous Chef experience, a passion for fresh ingredients, reliability, and a collaborative spirit to coach and develop

Qualifications

• Experience as Sous Chef, Junior Sous Chef, or Chef de Partie.
• Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
• Passion for fresh ingredients and high standards.
• Ability to lead and develop kitchen staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead kitchen shifts and ensure service runs smoothly from prep to plate.
• Support Head Chef in day-to-day operations and cover in their absence.
• Set high standards for quality, cleanliness, hygiene and safety on the pass.
• Manage prep, par, stock, waste, orders and shift handovers.
• Coach and develop the kitchen team.
