Loungers plc is hiring a full-time Sous Chef for the Ferro Lounge kitchen. You will lead shifts, support the Head Chef, and ensure every dish leaving the pass meets high standards. The role offers a 48-hour contract (40-hour option available), a base salary with bonus and overtime, and real progression opportunities within a growing hospitality brand.

Qualifications

• Lead kitchen shifts with confidence, keeping service smooth and on spec.
• Support day-to-day operations and help the kitchen deliver strong results.
• Set high standards on the pass for food quality, pace, hygiene.
• Coach and develop the team, helping chefs build confidence and deliver great food.
• Experience as a Sous Chef, Junior Sous Chef, or Chef de Partie with readiness for next step.

Responsibilities

• Lead kitchen shifts from prep through to the pass, ensuring service is organised and on spec.
• Be the Head Chef's right hand, supporting daily operations and stepping up in their absence.
• Maintain high standards for food quality, pace, cleanliness, hygiene and safety.
• Own key kitchen routines, including prep, par, stock control, waste, orders and handovers.
• Coach and develop team members to improve skills and deliver great food every shift.
