Job summary

Carro Lounge, part of Loungers, is hiring a full-time Sous Chef to join the kitchen team. You’ll support the Head Chef, lead shifts and ensure every plate leaving the pass meets our high standards.

We offer a competitive base salary with bonus, paid overtime, progression opportunities and staff perks from day one. This 48-hour contract (40-hour option) provides real development and a chance to grow with a growing hospitality brand across England and Wales.

Qualifications

• Experience in hospitality kitchens at Sous Chef level or higher.
• Proven ability to lead a team and coach junior staff.
• Strong focus on food quality, cleanliness and safety.

Responsibilities

• Lead kitchen shifts with confidence from prep to service.
• Support the Head Chef and act as right hand in absence.
• Set and maintain high standards on the pass for all dishes.
• Oversee prep, par stock, waste, orders and handovers.
• Coach and develop chefs to deliver great food every shift.
