Hilton Garden Inn Birmingham is seeking an experienced Sous Chef to join our kitchen leadership. You will partner with the Head Chef to maintain the highest standards of quality, hygiene and guest satisfaction in a busy hotel kitchen.

This role focuses on mentoring the team, overseeing food preparation, and supporting cost control and smooth kitchen operations to deliver outstanding dining experiences.

• Proven track record in busy kitchens with leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the executive chef to create and execute menus that meet the highest standards of quality and culinary excellence
• Assist in training and developing new kitchen team members, providing guidance and feedback to enhance their skills
• Oversee food preparation, ensuring that all dishes are prepared and served according to the recipes and portioning guidelines established by the executive chef
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to all food safety and sanitation guidelines
• Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering and receiving food and supplies to maintain appropriate stock levels
• Collaborate with the executive chef in cost control and budget management, making recommendations for improvement
