Winners Recruitment is recruiting for a Sous Chef position at a stunning coastal hotel in Newquay. You will work closely with the Head Chef to develop menus, lead the kitchen team, and ensure high standards of food quality, presentation and Hygiene.

The role is full-time, permanent, 45 hours per week with a competitive salary of £34,500–£35,000 per year plus tips. This is a great opportunity to advance your culinary career in a vibrant coastal setting.

Qualifications

• Previous sous-chef or senior chef experience in a busy kitchen.
• A passion for high-quality food and presentation.
• Ability to lead a kitchen team and work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook and present high-quality dishes to a consistently excellent standard.
• Support the Head Chef with daily kitchen operations and menu development.
• Help supervise and motivate kitchen staff, ensuring the smooth running of service.
• Maintain excellent standards of food quality, freshness, hygiene and presentation.
• Assist with stock management, ordering and monitoring supplies.
• Follow established recipes and ensure consistency across all dishes.
