Job summary

Astute is recruiting a Lead Asset Manager based in Milton Keynes for a renewables portfolio across the UK with some travel. The role offers up to £52k depending on experience, plus private healthcare, life assurance, pension, flexible working and a discretionary bonus.

The successful candidate will lead a team of Asset Managers, drive performance, manage O&M contracts and optimise asset value across utility-scale solar assets while maintaining strong client relationships and delivering excellent

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing the technical operations of utility-scale solar assets or similar renewables.
• Strong understanding of asset performance and SCADA systems.
• Proven experience managing O&M contracts and contractual obligations.

Responsibilities

• Lead the operational, commercial, contractual and financial performance of a portfolio of utility-scale solar assets across the UK.
• Act as the primary client contact, building strong stakeholder relationships and ensuring excellent service delivery.
• Manage and optimise asset performance, monitoring KPIs, identifying trends and risks, and implementing corrective actions to maximise asset value and minimise downtime.
• Oversee O&M contracts, service agreements, contract compliance, renewals and commercial risk management.
• Support budgeting and cost control, while identifying revenue-generating opportunities that enhance portfolio profitability and client outcomes.
• Lead, mentor and develop a team of Asset Managers, fostering accountability, continuous improvement and operational excellence.
