Job summary

BayWa r.e. Operation Services Limited in Milton Keynes seeks an experienced Lead Asset Manager to oversee the performance and value of a portfolio of utility-scale solar assets. You will lead a team, coordinate stakeholders, and ensure contractual compliance while maximizing asset value.

The role requires UK travel, a relevant engineering/PM background, and proven solar asset operations experience. A proactive, organised leader is essential for success.

Qualifications

• Degree in engineering or related field or equivalent experience.
• Proven track record in solar asset operations or similar.
• Experience with contract management and KPI analysis.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficient in Excel and data analysis; driving continuous improvement.
• Full driving licence and willingness to travel within the UK.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary contact for a portfolio of clients and site owners.
• Lead monthly and quarterly client performance meetings.
• Coordinate internal teams and external contractors to maximise production.
• Monitor asset availability, KPI trends, and incident response.
• Review contracts, assess risks, and support renewals and amendments.
• Drive cost control, budgeting and opportunities to enhance profitability.
• Lead and develop a team of Asset Managers and Solar Analysts.
