Job summary

Astute is seeking a Lead Asset Manager based in Milton Keynes to drive the operational, commercial and contractual performance of a portfolio of utility-scale solar assets across the UK. You will act as the primary client contact, optimise asset performance and manage O&M contracts alongside a small team.

The role offers a salary up to £52,000 DOE with private medical insurance, pension, life assurance, flexible working and a discretionary performance bonus.

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing technical operations of utility-scale solar assets.
• Strong understanding of solar technology, asset performance and SCADA systems.
• Proven experience managing O&M contracts and contractual obligations.
• Strong commercial and analytical skills to identify risks, trends and opportunities.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication and negotiation skills.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage competing priorities.
• Previous experience leading, mentoring or developing a team.

Responsibilities

• Lead the operational, commercial, contractual and financial performance of a portfolio of utility-scale solar assets across the UK.
• Act as the primary client contact, building strong stakeholder relationships and ensuring excellent service delivery.
• Manage and optimise asset performance, monitoring KPIs, identifying trends and risks, and implementing corrective actions to maximise asset value and minimise downtime.
• Oversee O&M contracts, service agreements, contract compliance, renewals and commercial risk management.
• Support budgeting and cost control, while identifying revenue-generating opportunities that enhance portfolio profitability and client outcomes.
• Lead, mentor and develop a team of Asset Managers, fostering accountability, continuous improvement and operational excellence.
