Job summary

BayWa r.e. Operation Services Limited is seeking an experienced Lead Asset Manager to lead a team responsible for a portfolio of utility-scale solar assets from our Milton Keynes office.

The role requires balancing technical expertise with strong commercial acumen and leadership to maximise asset performance. You will manage contracts, oversee O&M delivery, drive continuous improvement, and maintain strong client relationships while coordinating with internal and external stakeholders across the

Qualifications

• Education – degree qualified in Engineering, Project Management or other relevant discipline.
• Experience – managing technical operations of solar assets or similar technologies.
• Industry knowledge – understanding of solar technology, solar farm operations, SCADA systems and UK HSE legislation.
• Contract Management – proven track record with managing contracts; able to read, understand and enforce contracts effectively.
• Analysis – attention to detail, able to manipulate and assess data to see patterns and trends.
• Communication – customer orientated with the ability to effectively communicate and negotiate at all levels, both written and verbally.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Asset Managers, Solar Analysts, coordinating stakeholders to maximise production and asset performance.
• Oversee delivery of contracted O&M services and monitor KPIs; drive continuous improvement.
• Manage all O&M contracts, service agreements, and related obligations; support renewals and expansions.
• Support budgeting, cost control, and identification of commercial opportunities.
• Foster client relationships and ensure high-quality service delivery and governance.
