North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Lead Speech and Language Therapist to work across paediatric services, coordinating assessments and interventions for children with developmental language disorders, and developing care pathways in schools and community clinics.

You must be HCPC registered, passionate about improving outcomes, and able to collaborate with parents, carers and education staff.

Formación

• HCPC registered and eligible to practice.
• Experience working with developmental language disorders.
• Ability to work across multiple settings (schools, clinics, homes) and with MDTs.

Responsabilidades

• Generate appropriate strategies to manage an individual highly specialist caseload including assessment, diagnosis, treatment and discharge.
• Develop and implement highly specialist care protocols and programmes of care and treatment, to meet the needs of clients in conjunction with their parents, carers, education staff and other members of the MDT.
• Independently manage and/or negotiate the management of complex cases with others e.g. onward referral to other highly specialist clinicians or other specialist support agencies or consultants as appropriate.
• Ensure clients/families are involved in the planning and prioritisation of their care plans wherever possible.
• Adapt practice to meet individual client circumstances including regard for cultural and linguistic differences.
