Job summary

North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Clinical Lead Speech and Language Therapist to drive development for children with developmental language disorders. The 0.4 wte post collaborates with an existing lead to extend services across schools, clinics, homes and virtual platforms.

Qualifications

HCPC registered and eligible to practise as a speech & language therapist.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Commitment to evidence-based practice and ongoing learning.
Passion for improving outcomes for children and young people.

Responsibilities

Lead and coordinate the service for children and young people with developmental language disorder.
Develop and deliver the service across schools, clinics, homes and virtual platforms.
Generate strategies to manage a highly specialist caseload including assessment, diagnosis, treatment and discharge.
Collaborate with parents, carers, education staff and the MDT to plan and prioritise care.
Ensure safeguarding and DBS requirements are understood and followed.
