Job summary

Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust in England is seeking a Speech and Language Therapist to deliver specialist clinical work in paediatric settings. You will assess, diagnose, and plan targeted speech and language programmes, working with schools, families and multi-disciplinary colleagues to support children and young people.

You will contribute to training for parents and staff, use evidence-based practices, and document outcomes.

Qualifications

• Recognised Speech and Language Therapy degree and HCPC registration.
• Knowledge of a range of therapeutic interventions for paediatric clients.
• Familiarity with national policies and procedures relevant to the client group.
• Experience at undergraduate/postgraduate level.
• Knowledge of assessment tools and AAC approaches.
• Experience working with children with autism and/or complex needs.

Responsibilities

• Assess and diagnose speech and language conditions and plan care.
• Deliver specialist SLT programmes in schools and specialist provisions.
• Collaborate with parents, carers, schools and multidisciplinary colleagues.
• Deliver training packages to parents and teaching staff; evaluate outcomes.
