Job summary

Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting a Speech and Language Therapist to lead paediatric services for children with complex needs. The role involves developing assessment and intervention in collaboration with families, schools and health colleagues.

You will supervise junior staff, contribute to multi-agency care, and lead service planning with a view to delivering high-quality, evidence-based practice in a large NHS trust.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising, mentoring and supporting less experienced SLTs.
• Postgraduate level experience in the field is preferred.
• Specialist knowledge in paediatric assessment and management is required.
• Ability to lead service delivery development and evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Lead role for developing, coordinating and evaluating service delivery in the caseload area.
• Supervise junior SLTs and contribute to staff development.
• Work closely with multi-agency health and education teams.
• Engage in clinical leadership and regional networks.
