Job summary

Tees Esk and Wear Valleys NHS Foundation Trust in County Durham and Darlington is seeking an experienced Lead Speech and Language Therapist for CAMHS. This full-time Band 7 role leads the SLT team in neurodevelopment assessment pathways for children up to 18 and provides supervision and service development.

The post holder will work across Stanley and Sedgefield, guiding complex SLT assessments, report-writing, and MDT collaboration, contributing to quality improvement and strategic planning.

Qualifications

• HCPC-registered Speech and Language Therapist with leadership experience.
• Experience delivering SLT services in CAMHS.
• Experience with neurodevelopmental assessments and MDT collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Carry out observations and specialist SLT assessments for complex cases.
• Produce comprehensive reports for a small number of complex presentations.
• Provide consultation, advice and training to the wider team and partner agencies.
