Novax Recruitment Ltd. is seeking a pragmatic Site Manager for projects in Oxford. You will lead on-site delivery, manage labour and subcontractors, and ensure safety, quality and programme targets are met.

The role blends office planning with regular site visits, and requires a proactive leader who can interpret drawings, drive RAMS, and maintain records to support project handover.

A background in steelwork installation or construction is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience managing site installations or construction sites.
• Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and ensure quality.

Responsibilities

• Oversee installation activities, labour and subcontractors to ensure safety, programme and budget.
• Carry out site surveys and pre-start visits to verify access and set-out requirements.
• Prepare RAMS, conduct site audits and inductions to uphold safe practices.
• Coordinate site personnel, allocate resources and coach teams to improve performance.
• Track programme delivery and communicate delays to contracts team.
• Inspect installations, compare with drawings, raise non-conformances, coordinate actions.
• Maintain site diaries, records, and progress reports.
• Monitor costs and support commercial performance with contracts team.
• Support snagging, inspections and handover activities.
• Attend meetings and liaise with design, detailing, contracts and accounts teams.
