Job summary

Novax Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Site Manager in Oxford to lead steelwork installation and site operations. You will coordinate subcontractors, manage resources and ensure safety, quality and on-time delivery across projects.

The role combines office planning with regular site visits, requiring strong communication, interpretation of drawings, and adherence to RAMS and site procedures. Travel to sites will be required as needed.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading site installations or construction operations.
• Strong knowledge of construction health and safety legislation.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specs.
• Experience coordinating subcontractors, labour, plant and equipment.
• Excellent planning, problem-solving and record-keeping skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage site operations to complete work safely, on programme and within budget.
• Plan surveys, pre-start checks and setting-out requirements.
• Lead site teams and coordinate subcontractors and labour resources.
• Monitor progress, identify delays and report to contracts team.
• Maintain quality by inspecting installations against drawings and specs.
