Job summary

Novax Recruitment Ltd is sourcing a Site Manager for structural steelwork projects in Leeds. You will take ownership of day-to-day site operations, balancing safety, programme and quality to keep erections on track.

Essential: hands-on experience in structural steelwork erection (lining and levelling), plus a solid health-and-safety record and a valid CSCS card. Desirable: SMSTS, MEWP certification and a current first aid certificate.

Qualifications

• Experience in structural steelwork erection, including lining and levelling.
• Proven health and safety experience.
• An appropriate CSCS card.
• SMSTS qualification highly desirable.
• MEWP or other plant operator certification desirable.
• Current first aid certificate desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily site activities, coordinating operatives and subcontractors to keep erection works progressing.
• Oversee structural steelwork installation, ensuring work meets the required quality standards.
• Drive site safety, making sure working practices meet current legislation and site procedures.
• Track progress against the programme, identifying delays early and taking action before they affect delivery.
• Coordinate with clients and project teams to keep communication clear and resolve issues as they arise.
