Job summary

National Highways is seeking a Lead Service Manager to drive DevSecOps delivery within Digital Services, leading a Senior Service Delivery Manager / Product Owner and coordinating with a third-party supplier. The role offers hybrid working with two days in the office and UK-wide travel as needed.

You will govern commercial outcomes from scoping to delivery, shape cloud compute roadmaps, and manage budgets while aligning with user needs and organisational priorities.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of cloud compute hyper-scalers (e.g. MS Azure, Amazon AWS).
• Proven ability to manage a service provider-derived DevSecOps delivery team to achieve sprint velocity and outcomes.
• Excellent understanding of Agile and ADO principles and their practical application in projects.
• Demonstrable evidence of influencing team dynamics and collaborative working.
• Strong commercial and financial acumen.

Responsibilities

• Lead service delivery management with line management for a Senior Service Delivery Manager / Product Owner.
• Manage the budget for the DevSecOps practise and managed services contract.
• Prepare governance artefacts for commercial sourcing of cloud compute services and contribute to roadmaps.
• Provide strategic input into short-, medium- and long-term cloud compute roadmaps for Infrastructure & Platforms.
• Apply insight into user needs to ensure services meet evolving requirements across channels.
