Job summary

National Highways is recruiting a Lead Service Manager to drive DevSecOps delivery within Infrastructure & Platforms. The role oversees scoping, governance artifacts, funding, and end-to-end delivery, with line management of a Senior Service Delivery Manager / Product Owner.

The position is hybrid with two office days per week across UK locations, with travel for meetings. Cloud expertise (Azure/AWS) and strong commercial acumen are essential.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of cloud compute hyper-scalers (Azure, AWS).
• Ability to manage a DevSecOps delivery team to achieve sprint velocity and outcomes.
• Strong understanding of Agile and ADO principles and processes in projects.
• Proven ability to influence team dynamics and collaborate across functions.
• Strong commercial and financial acumen.

Responsibilities

• Deliver strategic outcomes using the DevSecOps capability within Infrastructure & Platforms.
• Manage full cycle of new deliveries from scoping to funding to delivery.
• Provide governance artifacts for commercial sourcing of cloud services (e.g., Business Cases).
• Develop cloud compute roadmaps for Infrastructure & Platforms and align with business goals.
• Budget management for the DevSecOps practice and managed services contract.
• Lead and mentor the Senior Service Delivery Manager / Product Owner and coordinate with suppliers.
