Job summary

Salendine Nook High School seeks an enthusiastic teacher to lead our bespoke Cognition and Learning Provision for students with significant learning needs. The post offers small, highly supported groups and a pivotal role in shaping an innovative provision.

You will deliver an adapted curriculum across KS3/KS4, focusing on literacy, numeracy, communication and independence, with close collaboration with the SENCo, families and external agencies to secure the best outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching learners with significant cognition and learning difficulties.
• Ability to adapt learning creatively for a wide range of needs.
• Commitment to developing independence, confidence and aspirations.

Responsibilities

• Teach students with cognition and learning needs through highly personalised programmes.
• Deliver early intervention in phonics, reading, writing and numeracy at Key Stage 3.
• Prepare Key Stage 4 students for GCSEs and future education paths.
• Collaborate with SENCo, SEND team, families and external agencies.
• Help establish a nurturing provision focused on student success.
