Job summary

• Expertise across the DDaT Service Design lifecycle.
• Create service artefacts: journeys, blueprints and ecosystems.
• Evidence-based design with insight synthesis and prioritisation.
• Experience in complex, multidisciplinary teams.
• Influence stakeholders across engineering, product, policy and business.

Responsibilities

• Lead service design activities across Discovery, Alpha, Beta and Live.
• Produce service maps, user journeys, blueprints and end-to-end service models.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to align user needs with business goals.
• Provide advice on service design approaches, risks and opportunities.
• Manage delivery timelines, quality and stakeholder expectations.
• Facilitate workshops and co-design sessions with diverse teams.
• Use evidence to frame problems and prioritise opportunities.
• Contribute to planning, strategy and roadmap discussions.
• Support development of service design capability and mentoring.
• Coordinate delivery across multiple phases and teams.
• Mentor other Service Designers.
• Experience in defence/government or regulated environments.
• Familiarity with ITIL, SLAs and support models.
• Knowledge of User Research, Business Analysis and Product Management.
