Job summary

Amey Consulting is seeking a permanent Project Manager to join our Rail Design team, with hybrid offices across the UK and a focus on major projects such as Northern Powerhouse Rail and Trans-Pennine Route Upgrade. The role involves leading multidisciplinary design coordination and mentoring junior staff.

You will require developed project management experience, knowledge of safety regulations, and a track record of delivering projects on time and within budget; strong client and stakeholder

Qualifications

• Experience in project management roles within rail or similar infrastructure.
• Knowledge of health, safety and welfare regulations and Amey’s IMS.
• Ability to coordinate multidisciplinary design teams.
• Proven track record delivering projects on time and within budget.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team to deliver technically sound project management deliverables.
• Prepare, check and maintain PM information to meet quality, cost and programme.
• Oversee junior staff and manage their work.
• Take commercial responsibility for projects including budgets and costs.
• Liaise with clients and suppliers, attend progress meetings and respond to queries.
• Contribute to bids and work-winning activities.
• Promote health and safety practices within the team.
