Job summary

Amey is seeking an experienced Project Director or Senior Project Manager to work directly with the TfL client team in London. The role focuses on translating strategic TfL requirements into deliverable work packages, developing scopes, preparing cost estimates, and leading delivery through to completion.

The successful candidate will have extensive TfL and London rail programme experience, governance knowledge, and strong stakeholder management skills, with a proven ability to define scopes and

Qualifications

• 10+ years' experience delivering rail or transport infrastructure projects.
• Direct experience working for or alongside Transport for London (TfL).
• Strong commercial and estimating capability with responsibility for budgets, pricing and financial control.

Responsibilities

• Embed within TfL client offices and build trusted client relationships.
• Identify opportunities and emerging workstreams across rail and transport programmes.
• Translate client requirements into clearly defined scopes of work.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering and consulting teams to develop proposals and solutions.
• Prepare estimates, budgets, and pricing proposals; support business development.
• Lead project mobilisation and delivery from inception to completion.
• Manage programme, budget, risk, stakeholder engagement, change control and reporting.
• Act as primary interface between client teams and delivery organisations.
