Job summary

Novax Recruitment Ltd. is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor for our UK-based structural steel division in Leeds.

This senior, hands-on role demands managing commercial performance from award to final account, with close collaboration to PMs, Estimators and site teams to protect margins across projects. You will oversee procurement, subcontract management, variations, and final accounts, ensuring client valuations are accurate and commercial risks are mitigated.

Qualifications

• Proven commercial management experience across live construction projects.
• Experience managing projects from contract award through to final account.
• Strong understanding of project cost control, forecasting and commercial reporting.
• Experience managing variations, valuations, applications for payment and final accounts.
• Strong contract administration and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Take full commercial responsibility for allocated projects from contract award through to completion.
• Manage the commercial performance of structural steelwork and construction projects.
• Establish and maintain budgets, cost plans and commercial controls.
• Prepare CVRs, cost reports and cash-flow forecasts.
