Novax Recruitment Ltd. is seeking a Quantity Surveyor with a background in structural steel to join a UK/Europe-facing team based in Cardiff.

The role sits between estimating, project management, design, buying and production, focusing on pricing, budgeting and cost control across the full project lifecycle. You will price steelwork from drawings, build procurement packages and manage variations, ensuring final accounts are accurate.

Formación

• Experience in structural steel or heavy fabrication environments.
• Ability to measure from drawings and price labour, materials, plant and preliminaries.
• Understanding of construction contracts, variations, payment mechanisms and final accounts.
• Commercial judgement to assess design, fabrication and site cost impact.
• Strong communication with clients, subcontractors, suppliers and internal teams.
• Relevant QS qualification or equivalent industry experience.

Responsabilidades

• Price structural steelwork from drawings and specifications, accounting for labour, materials, fabrication, transport and erection.
• Build project budgets and procurement packages after work is secured.
• Control costs, variations and forecasts throughout the project.
• Measure completed work, manage applications and valuations, keep subcontract accounts moving.
• Challenge unnecessary cost across materials, fabrication and bought-in services.
• Close projects from live commercial management through to final account.
