Job summary

Carrington West is seeking a Managing Quantity Surveyor to support the Net Zero Teesside project. The role focuses on NEC contract administration, cost control, and value for money on a major UK infrastructure programme.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Managing Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor.
• Strong NEC contract experience is essential.
• Excellent communication skills are essential.
• MRICS status is highly advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Administer NEC contracts across the project.
• Measure, record and value work unsupervised per procedures.
• Prepare payment applications and final account procedures.
• Use project accounting systems, monitor costs and CVRs.
• Review programmes and plan commercial activities to meet timelines.
• Oversee supplier procurement and subcontract administration.
• Identify and manage commercial risk with the project team.
• Develop junior members of the commercial team.
