Carrington West is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor for a major civil infrastructure programme in Essex. You will own high-value packages, manage complex commercial activities, and support NEC-based change management and compensation events.

This permanent role offers a salary of £65,000–£80,000 with London weighting and a requirement for office attendance at least three days per week. You will join a specialist consultancy known for NEC expertise and delivering on high-pressure projects.

Qualifications

• 6+ years' experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor in heavy civil infrastructure.
• Background working for a main or principal contractor (subcontractor backgrounds considered).
• NEC3 or NEC4 contract experience, Options A and C.
• Chartership preferred or actively working towards it.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of high-value civil engineering packages within a major delivery team.
• Support complex change management, compensation events, and wider commercial strategy under NEC contracts.
