Job summary

NRL Recruitment is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a major infrastructure and civil engineering project team based in Teesside. You will manage contract administration, cost control and commercial reporting to deliver value-driven results on complex schemes.

The role requires a Degree in Quantity Surveying, NEC contract experience, and progression towards RICS membership; you will mentor junior team members and contribute to risk management and procurement.

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying (BSc/MSc) or equivalent.
• Strong NEC contract administration experience.
• Proven ability to manage costs, contracts, and commercial reporting.
• Working towards or holding RICS membership.
• Experience supervising junior team members.

Responsibilities

• Manage and administer NEC contracts on large infrastructure or civil projects.
• Measure, record and value work in line with procedures.
• Prepare payment applications and final accounts.
• Oversee project accounting and cost reporting.
• Review programmes and identify commercial activities.
• Oversee procurement and contract administration.
• Identify and manage risk with the project team.
• Mentor and develop junior staff.
